Today, the OpenFOAM® Journal published a new paper in the Full Papers section:

Mario Javier Rincon, Christoffer Hansen, Martino Reclari, and Mahdi Abkar
“Implementation and A-posteriori Validation of the Resolved Reynolds Stress Transport Equations in OpenFOAM”

The authors present a function object library to compute all terms of the resolved Reynolds Stress Transport Equation budget in Large-Eddy Simulations. The implementation is validated using channel and pipe flow cases at (Retau = 180), with the computed budget terms compared against high-fidelity DNS data.

This contribution provides the OpenFOAM community with a valuable tool for detailed turbulence analysis and model development. The source code and case files are also provided, enabling users to apply the library to their own cases.
